Cardboard mold resistant
Corrugated cardboard is disclosed that resists the growth of mold, the cardboard comprising: a single face liner containing starch, biocide, water and pulp; a double face liner containing starch, biocide, water and pulp; a fluted medium sandwiched between the single face and double face liners; and adhesive securing the fluted medium to the single face and double face liners. Structures are also disclosed for forming voids in concrete during construction processes where the voids resist growth of mold and spores, and a process is taught for producing mold- resistant corrugated cardboard and structures for forming voids.

Client meeting
The client meeting was very helpful, giving me a better understanding of what they are expecting out of our final designs. The ideas that were pointed out to me, but also to my peers made me research more into materials, but also consider them towards my final design. These are the notes that I gathered:
- consideration of wood but also the cost of it
- companies that would do engravings/embossing/cutouts
- having too many letters or writing will loose the impact of the design
- they don't pack glass next to glass, they usually put a cardboard between them
- ink comes off if its directly printed on the board
- consideration of cardboard that will be mold resistant
Concept
This is a rough idea of how my packing design in going to look/work. The main idea behind the concept is to make it have a second use after taking out the bottles/condiments. As WVB are very interested in combining their beer with food, I felt that making the box work as a support for a cooking book, would work nicely with their interests.
CAT visit
The visit at CAT was very helpful towards my development of ideas for the main project. Besides the fact that I learned about materials and how they are used in creating sustainable houses, I also got the chance to see how they work in different situes. These are a couple of photos that I took:
