An Inconvinient Truth - what I think about this "truth"

Hi guys. As we all know we had to do task 1 which was our opinion about global warming. This is what I think:

The global warming does indeed exist and it was mainly caused by humankind who is even still accelerating it. It is a big problem that is affecting, at the moment, everything on the planet, from temperature, nature, seasons to humans and economy, and will continue into the foreseeable future.
CO2 (Carbon dioxide) emissions belong to the most important causes of global warming. CO2 is inevitably created by burning fossil fuels like e.g. oil, natural gas, diesel, organic-diesel, petrol, organic-petrol, ethanol.
Deserts get drier leaving to increased desertification. Changes also appear in the agricultural culture which can lead to food shortages.
The weather is getting more extreme and it’s increasing the frequency of catastrophic storms. More energy resources are used for cooling needs. Glaciers and ice sheets are in permanent loss.
Cultural or heritage sites destroyed faster due to increased extremes. The cost of insurance is increasing as insurers pay out more claims resulting from increasingly large disasters. Due to food and crop shortages, starvation, malnutrition and deaths are increasing.
Loss of animal and plant habitats.
Extinction of additional species of animals and plants.
Rampant outbreak of diseases in humans and animals
The raising of the sea level, causing floods.
The price you pay for food is getting higher already as a result of global warming effects on agriculture. What’s worse is that this is leaving many of the world’s hungry in a desperate situation, unable to afford adequate food. In the future, it could make it so hard for humans to grow enough food that even wealthy people experience food scarcity.

We depend on a predictable climate to keep our agricultural markets and our economy as a whole stable. Climate change makes our markets unstable, less efficient, and thus more expensive. Prices are increasing for a number of reasons, a few of which are not related to global warming, but global warming induced heat waves have already been shown to reduce grain harvests in India, Canada, and the U.S. significantly
Unfortunately the global warming will still continue in the next years, due to the incapability of the Americans to make a change in their industry. There will continue to be studies performed and there will always be a measure of doubt clouding the minds of citizens around the world. Perhaps, when enough data comes through, we will be able to make a determination based on scientific fact rather than theory. Until then we can continue to monitor the progress of scientists and try to do our part in conserving the environment.
